Stop the Stench

The Issue

Who is impacted?

Within the 3,495 public schools in the state of Michigan, many residents such as middle school, high school, and college/university students can  benefit from free hygienic products. Some households may not provide the need for good hygienic care, along with schools having poor or inadequate resources like quality soap, deodorant, tooth brushes, or sanitary napkins. By supporting this initiative  of free universal hygienic products in Michigan schools, students and staff can enjoy feeling clean and providing a positive output to the schools society.

What is at stake?

Universal free hygienic products include quality soaps such as "Dove" products including soaps, deodorant, tooth brushes plus toothpaste and sanitary napkins/products.  This initiative can be costly, but it is effective for the well-being of the students and staff of the schools. In order to fully convert all Michigan schools to have these free products, there will be 45 million distributed equally among each of the 3,495 public schools in Michigan, leading each school to have $12,875 per school year.

Why is now the time to act?

Now is the time to support  the initiative of free hygienic products  to show the importance of the physical well being of school students. Many students can learn positively and act at an influential level when they are smelling and feeling fresh. Immediate action is needed because it can enhance the physical and emotional well-being of students by preventing possible bullying issues and distracting moments in the learning environment.
