Burnham Dashes Immediate Hopes On State Pension Taxation

Having raised expectations that he was going to "look at" the frozen tax thresholds, our new PM has now made clear that nothing is going happen before the Autumn Budget. This means we must step up our campaign to show that unfreezing the personal allowance would make a big cost of living difference for pensioner households and low income families. After all, this is what Burnham was told time and time again on the doorsteps of Makerfield!
