The Budget is now in chaos as the Chancellor has apparently dropped her plans to hike income tax on pensioners by 2p, a screeching U-turn which Silver Voices helped to achieve. But in an effort to fill the economic black hole, the Treasury is hinting that the freeze on tax thresholds will be extended until 2030 and tax personal allowances may even be reduced! It is therefore important that this petition receives more support to stop the state pension being taxed.
