I received a call back from the City of Oceanside Engineering Dept (Traffic Safety Division) today as well as an email back from deputy mayor Kien’s office (our district rep). We are on the radar now and I have opened up a dialogue.

The city engineer explained that the traffic suppression program that would allow the city to quickly deal with issues like this was cut in 2011, and is coming back in July 2022 (in two months).

She also made me aware that requests for upgraded safety on Cameo Dr. have been submitted multiple times in the past 10 years and that out of the 400 requests for review from other parts of the city, Cameo Dr. is in the top 10 issues they plan to deal with.

That’s all good news, but I am not stopping there, please get as many signatures on this petition and please send any personal experiences you have had to support the need to get them to look.
