Stop the speeding by Roosevelt Community Park in Clover SC

The Issue

Mobley Street in Clover SC runs right between Roosevelt Community Park, the Stellie Jackson Enrichment Center, and the Pickney Street Apartments. On any given day the park is full of beautiful children playing in the park or families participating and supporting youth sports on the baseball fields. The park is centrally located in the heart of the Roosevelt Community.  This is a community park and it's not outside of the norm for children to be playing in the park without direct supervision. Children ride their bikes to the park. Community members and senior citizens walk Mobley St. to visit family members. Parking is limited and families sometimes have to park on the street and walk towards the baseball fields. Children get off the bus by the apartments. There are no sidewalks by the park.

This petition has been created to support the idea of having speed humps or bumps added to Mobley Street by the park and the Enrichment Center to assist in slowing vehicles down. The last thing any community wants is an unsafe environment. We're afraid that if something isn't done proactively, someone may get hurt

We'll need support from residents who live and have lived on the street, parents who have and have had children that attend the Enrichment Center, parents with children that have or have had scheduled games and practices at Roosevelt Park, and members of the community who are concerned about the safety of our youth and citizens in Clover, SC. Help us in being proactive as we work towards a safer community by signing the petition and sharing it.
