On Tuesday November 12, 2024 our zoning and planning board member voted 3-1 with only one against the project.

We had a pack room that night with some really good comments on heath and safety.  The fire chief even spoke on that fact that 

No Wyoming Business License on file for Haystack Solar
No contractual agreement with any Power Company to purchase said power
No Application with the State Filed; DEQ, Game and Fish, or Siting Council
Unknown Economic Impacts on the County
Wyoming Statutes not in compliance
Running on an illegally adopted 2022 Zoning Resolution that had NO Solar Projects of this scale or magnitude in the 2000 Resolution
Clear Health, Safety, and Welfare Concerns; Water contamination from chemicals and Selenium and fires
The County Fire Response and or Emergency Resources is NOT equipped to handle a fire of this type should one occur
The Zoning and Planning Board voted 3-1 to approve this application and pass it on to the Natrona County Board of Commissioners with conditions of approval from State Departments approval
Individual Property Rights ONLY extend until they impose a burden onto the Rights of Other Individuals
