Someone with first-hand knowledge has just come forward to let the Coalition know that the “exclosures” being used by the Catalina Island Conservancy to demonstrate how lush the island would be without our deer have been regularly ENHANCED with mature plants from the Conservancy’s native plant nursery! Not only does the science NOT support the need to ERADICATE our deer, but the Conservancy has been CHEATING their data to try to prove their point. The truth is, the Conservancy finds it distasteful and burdensome to manage the responsible hunting program that has worked for more than 100 years! This is absolutely SHAMEFUL behavior from an organization that claims to be science-based.

ACTION ITEM (NEW) • Earlier this week we asked the Avalon City Council to amend our local code so that the Data-Faking Conservancy or its butchers, White Buffalo Inc., can’t torture and kill deer in Avalon or transport them elsewhere to kill them. Please read it HERE and reach out to these representatives to let them know you SUPPORT amending the municipal code to protect our deer and that you OPPOSE giving any exceptions to torture and kill deer in Avalon
