Heartland Pets destroyed me mentally financially and physically I purchased a puppy back in December 2021 and he was born July 21 2021 I had him a total of 8 months when I had to humanely euthanized him due to the lack of quality of life he would have had. I should have seen the signs when he had been there for close to 5 months and was very thin but I was so in love with him we brought him home he was a joy the first few weeks until we realized he had separation anxiety severe where I chose to sleep on the living room floor with him for 8 months straight this put a lot of strain on my husband and I. I was determined to give him a great life as time went on he started to limp we had x rays done only to find out he had elbow dysplasia which Is hereditary so the parents should not have been breed. As he got older he would become lame if surgery was not done but that was not guaranteed it would not show up in the other leg. He also developed cherry eye which is another surgery all before a year old as he reached 6 to 7 months his attachment to me was bad where he would not like my older dog near me I could not take the chance of him getting older and hurting my dog or husband. He also had a few episodes of what the vet thought were little seizures. So there is so much more but not enough room to write everything. I want Heartland pets to never be able to ever sell another puppy to any family so they do not have experience the pain and heartache like we have. I now wear his ashes around my neck so he is always near my heart. And one day I will see him at the Rainbow Bridge. His name was Teddy 07/21/2021 - 08/18/2022. RIP buddy. These puppies deserve to have their voices heard and seeing as they can not talk we have to talk for them.
