A few updates happening... 

After sending 3 emails to the Chief of Animal Control, I have yet to receive a response. This is a bit disappointing because of our previous phone call and Chief Middleton seems to be completely on-board with this petition. As a reminder, she was supporting some changes to our City Ordinance. However requesting a follow-up meeting to make proposals to this ordinance seems to be difficult. Chief Middleton had mentioned that she was looking forward to changes since the hands of Animal control are "tied" in some ways. From that standpoint, I would expect a response to make their job "easier." I will keep on trying and will send another follow up tomorrow. 

Yesterday I received a voicemail from the Captain of the Menifee police department. He wanted to discuss my "concerns" (petition). I will be calling him back tomorrow and give you all an update on that conversation. 

As of my last meeting, Mayor Zimmerman is on board for me to speak at one of the city council meetings in regards to our city ordinance on animals. I was hoping to be closer to that goal by now but Animal Control is causing delays.
