OUR PETITION: Saanich Council met February 11th 2025 to hear public presentations regarding the Quadra McKenzie Plan. Save Our Saanich was there, having delivered an interim printed copy of the PETITION with 4,001 signatures and many comments, to each of Mayor and Council.
Since then, 334 more people have signed and made comments, so we have delivered a printed PETITION UPDATE to each of Mayor and Council on Friday February 21st, ahead of the Monday, February 24th Council meeting at 7 p.m.
Our message is clear and unwavering: asking Mayor and Council to STOP the Quadra McKenzie Plan and ensure that residents – not just special interest lobbies – have a chance for meaningful input through real consultation. We will continue to encourage residents to sign this Petition and leave comments. Additional Update Petitions will continue to be presented to Mayor and Council.
All of our lives will be impacted by these proposed changes. Saanich Council must allow us an opportunity to make our views known in a truly consultative process.
