As of this morning (Monday, Nov. 27), all the certificates we were required to file with the City Planning Commission have been filed!
This was a surprise roadblock for us - no one had told us that we would need to post a sign, generate an "adjoining property map," send out letters to all those property owners, and then send the City all the paperwork affirming we did all those things. The fact that we were only told after the 10-day window to appeal the variance had begun, was especially stressful.
Thankfully, our wonderful team here at Fayetteville Strong came together and got it done! I am so thankful for our civil engineers and other smart folks who speak "civil engineering-ese!"
Next, I think we should post flyers around that neighborhood, too. The folks who live on West Holly, as well as the business owners who rent retail space in Oak Plaza, might want to be part of this too.
Once again, the date that this appeal will be on the Planning Commission agenda is Dec. 11, at 5:30. Please mark it on your calendars to be there! Together we can stop this thing!
