I'm pleased to tell you the Neighborhood Meeting conducted by Jim Portner, Projects International, on behalf of New Era Tucson, went very well.  There were about 75 attendees including Beth Borozon, Supervisor Christy's Chief of Staff, with no one from Councilman Cunningham's office in attendance.

The participants asked intelligent and relevant questions and, when making opposition statements, were extremely civil.  While there were substantial and valid comments and options provided by residents to the developer, the rezoning application was submitted 2 weeks ago leaving no opportunity for change. 

In the event we can attend (in-person) the Zoning Examiner's meeting and/or the Mayor and Council Meeting, I am asking all of our supporters to remain engaged.  According to Koren Manning, City of Tucson Planning and Development, a rough estimate has the Zoning Examiner's meeting in July.
