Stop The Rezoning Application for Properties at 9828 S Temple Drive

The Issue

I am a resident adversely impacted by the proposal to rezone and amend the land use for properties located at 9828 S Temple Dr. The current land use and zoning are harmonious with our community's shared ethos and values. The proposed changes starkly contrast with the aspirations and lifestyle of the local residents. Moreover, these changes defy the principles enshrined in the South Jordan General Plan, which is intended to guide sustainable land development and conservation.

It is apparent that this proposed rezoning benefits a select few at the cost of the many. The area is currently zoned conservatively, consistent with South Jordan's vision of preserving the community's natural and cultural heritage, ensuring balanced growth, and maintaining high standards of quality. The proposed land use would recklessly disrupt our quiet community and growth plans, affecting all of us living in the neighborhood negatively.

Every resident's voice matters when shaping the future of our community. Therefore, it is essential to halt this application to rezone and amend the land use for these properties. Together, we can ensure that the South Jordan General Plan's intent remains intact, and our neighbourhood grows in harmony with our shared values and aspirations.

We, the undersigned,  urge the South Jordan Planning Commission to recommend that the City Council vote against the BESS DENTAL proposal, and urge our elected council members to vote against these applications regardless of the recommendation put forth by the planning commission.
