The Issue

I am a resident of Parkville, MO, USA and these parks - English Landing Park, Platte Landing Park, Sullivan Nature Sanctuary along with our precious wetlands are not just green spaces. They are major attractions in our town and provide immense benefits to us citizens. They serve as our refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life, a place where we can reconnect with nature and enjoy its beauty. However, all this is under threat due to a business owner's plans for the relocation of BNSF railroad tracks.

The proposed relocation would cause irreversible damage to these parks and wetlands. It would disrupt local ecosystems that provide habitats for diverse species (Source: National Wildlife Federation). Moreover, it would deprive us residents of places where we can exercise, relax or simply appreciate nature's beauty.

We urge decision-makers at all levels - local government officials as well as representatives at BNSF - to reconsider this plan. We ask them to prioritize preserving our parks over relocating railroad tracks.

Please join me in protecting Parkville's green spaces by signing this petition today! Let's show decision-makers that we value our parks more than they know!
