Please see attached contacts for PONTARDDULAIS council.

I have spoken with them over the past few years and had some communication reference this.

But in more recent months, the developments that have happened between Swansea council and WALTERS on building this housing development no residents have been contacted, consulted or included.

I have asked Swansea Council to consider the strain on the village, in terms of the infrastructure in PONTARDDULAIS i.e. x1 GP surgery,  x1 dentist X1 Comprehensive school X1 english primary school.

We have lost our only Banking building, butchers, Shoe shop and a long established Noakes Bakery.

Introducing 150 homes would increase traffic on our roads, equivalent to 300 cars based on the average of 2 cars per household.

Average of 2 Adults and 2 children per household  GP registrations would increase by 600 new places.

Primary School registrations would increase on average if two children were inrolled in a primary school by 300.

And like me as a mother of 2 boys who lives in Bont I had to go further a field to find a primary school first in Penllergaer then Pontlliw.  This impacted my children's education and social connections to PONTARDDULAIS.  Consequences of this would create strains on surrounding schools also.

Most households in PONTARDDULAIS cannot use the local GP and dental services and have to travel into nearby villages and towns as there are no places available.  This again puts huge strain on other surrounding areas also.

The ripple affect from this decision would not benefit PONTARDDULAIS only add to it's already crowded and strained infrastructure.

The site should be preserved for conservation and the community.  It should be redeveloped into a nature reserve for the community, a green space.  We have very little green areas in PONTARDDULAIS to be able to take our children to exercise and play in.  To dog walk, to relax in and enjoy the calming sounds of nature.  There is a naturally created lake area in the land, various historical buildings which need to be preserved.  There is an abundance of wildlife that in habits the land, I have witnessed firsthand over the years I have been it's only neighbour.  Foxes and cubs, toads, hedgehogs, mexican free tailed bats, silver haired bats, badger, species of birds sparrows, crows, seagulls, blue tits, Eurasian blackbirds, Song/house sparrows, pygmy owls, mistle thrush, spotted woodpecker, American robin, Eurasian blue finch, Barred warbler,  lesser whitethroat, common whitethroat, so many more than this.

It would be devastating for this area to be invaded ravaged and destroyed to another property developer. WALTERS bought the land cheap for 1 million pounds and will earn millions back on the first 5 homes it sells.  We need to fight to protect this land and protect our village.  We should the people who live here dictate what happens here and what will enhance our community not a company like WALTERS.
