This photo illustrates what this petition is trying to protect - a beautiful, green oasis in the heart of Subiaco. A place to seek respite from the heat under the trees and take some time out. It’s a precious, tranquil place in our built-up urban environment.

Shortly before Christmas, the City of Subiaco extended the public consultation period for its Civic Precinct project. It now ends on 27 February 2026.

This will give people more time to have their say. However, it also increases the risk of campaign fatigue.

Please hang in there! 

As you start returning to your usual activities after the festive break, please keep sharing this petition amongst your sporting clubs, book clubs, mothers’ groups, play groups, chat groups, noticeboards, volunteering groups, men’s sheds, women’s sheds, yoga classes, pilates classes, neighbours, colleagues, family and friends - anyone and anywhere.

It would be wonderful if we could get to 600 signatures, or even more! Are you up for the challenge?
