Moreover, pubs like the Glan Neigr Hotel are vital for local economies. According to CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), every time a pub closes down, local economies lose around £80,000 per year due to loss in taxes and job opportunities.
We understand that development is necessary for progress but not at the cost of erasing our heritage sites or disrupting community life. We urge Sandy Mount House and Residential Estates to reconsider their plans on redeveloping the Glan Neigr Hotel into something that does not reflect its original character or purpose.
