The Issue

Many residents of Tuolumne County are deeply concerned about the impacts of the proposed pellet plant on our environment and our community's health.

Our county is home to stunning natural beauty that unravels itself each day through its rivers, forests, and wildlife. But with the advent of the proposed pellet plant, the health of our community and the environment are in threat.

Such plants are known to emit harmful pollutants including particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, and carbon monoxide, all of which can have serious implications for public health, especially for our most vulnerable members including children and seniors who often have more susceptibility to respiratory distress.

Moreover, the increase in industrial activity may lead to a decline in local air quality. This not only risks our health but also the quality of life that we cherish in Tuolumne County. It's a plea to all the decision authorities, to reconsider this plan and hugely weigh the environmental and health impacts before allowing such industries in our backyards. Let's stand together to preserve our health, our environment, and our community. Sign this petition today to stop the proposed pellet plant in Tuolumne County from becoming a reality.
