We are asking the appropriate authorities to urgently review the proposed commercial poultry development near County Road 298 / 2991 in Leon County, Texas, reportedly associated with Nguyen Poultry Farm and Tuan Anh Nguyen.

Land clearing has begun in a heavily wooded area with hills, creeks, and ponds on and near the site.

We are concerned about potential erosion, water quality, drainage, odors, flies, wildlife habitat, property values, and the long-term impact on our rural community.

We call on the relevant authorities to review applicable permits, inspect erosion and stormwater controls, assess potential impacts on creeks, ponds, and groundwater, and provide residents with a meaningful opportunity to be heard.

We respectfully ask officials to take every lawful step available to prevent environmental harm and stop or pause work where legally justified while significant compliance concerns are investigated.

We support responsible agriculture, but our rural community deserves transparency, appropriate environmental safeguards, and a voice in decisions that affect our homes and land.
