Notice to All Concerned Property Owners: Request for Information on Assessment Rate Increases

Dear Residents,

WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT UPDATE

We are reaching out to all property owners and residents in Subang Jaya, Sunway, USJ, Puchong, Seri Kembangan, and Serdang who may have relevant information regarding the assessment rate increases over the past few decades.

Recently, the state government informed us that there have been no increments in assessment rates for Subang Jaya and Sunway since 1992, and for USJ, Puchong, Seri Kembangan, and Serdang since 1996, as reported in an article

However, following the delivery of our petition, several property owners have come forward with proof indicating that there have, in fact, been increases during this period.

We believe that it is crucial to gather all available evidence to accurately represent the situation and hold the relevant authorities accountable. If you are a property owner in the affected areas and have documentation that shows any increment in assessment rates during this period, we kindly ask you to come forward and share this information with us.

Your contribution is essential in helping us build a strong case. Specifically, we are looking for:

  1. Assessment Rate Bills: Copies of your annual assessment rate bills that indicate the amount charged over the years, particularly any evidence of increases since the dates mentioned.
  2. Correspondence with Authorities: Any letters, emails, or official communication with local authorities regarding changes in assessment rates.
  3. Other Relevant Documents: Any additional documents or records that can substantiate the claim that assessment rates have increased during this period.

Additional Note: For those who may have misplaced their past Cukai Taksiran bills and have no record on hand, you can easily retrieve a copy. Simply visit the MBSJ information counter with your house's account number, which can be found on your recent notice. The staff will assist you in obtaining a historical printed copy of your assessment rate bill. This service is free of charge, and the entire process takes just about two minutes.

By sharing this information, you will be playing a vital role in ensuring transparency and fairness in the assessment rate process. We are committed to addressing this issue on behalf of all affected property owners, and your support is critical to our efforts.

Please submit your documents or contact us directly at 012-503 2198(Nancy Lim)/ 013-241 4622( Pn. Mariana ) if you have any questions or need assistance in providing the information. We assure you that all submissions will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Together, we can ensure that our voices are heard and that justice is served. Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your ongoing support.

Sincerely,

Gabungan Penduduk Menentang Kenaikan Cukai (GPMKC)
