The Issue

We, the undersigned residents of Lambertville, strongly oppose the proposed Finkle's development project. We believe that the project is too large in scale and will irreversibly harm our city's historic character and charm. We respectfully ask the Mayor and City Council to stop this project.

This large-scale luxury development will overwhelm our community, cause significant traffic congestion, and increase both noise , water   and air pollution. The project violates the intent and purpose of our city's Historic District and will destroy the views from the historic Delaware and Raritan Canal. The historic buildings on the site may be destroyed or significantly altered, stripping them of their historic integrity and purpose.

We are also concerned that allowing large hospitality companies to dominate our community will hurt our local, family-owned businesses.

We ask the Mayor and City Council to stop this project and work with the community to develop an appropriate, community-driven plan for this site. We urge the city to update our Master Plan, zoning ordinances, and historic preservation regulations to protect Lambertville's unique character and environment.

This project is Too Big and a Big Mistake. We, the residents of Lambertville, call for an immediate halt to this large-scale development in order to preserve and protect our community.
