I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has signed and supported our petition. In just a few days we have gone from a standing start to nearly 600 signatures! Our call for Windsor's tourist centre and museum to be kept open and celebrated is being heard far and wide thanks to you. It's been great to see the press interest and the conversations that have been sparked locally and on social media.
This has made some at the Royal Borough uncomfortable, and rightly so. I recognise the financial challenges the Borough has, but this is a sum of money that can be found. We must keep the pressure on the Council to scrap any plans for closure and to commit publicly to retaining the museum and tourist centre in its current home. Windsor's Guildhall with our museum and tourist centre in situ, are the gateway to our town and enable our Royal Heritage to be shared and enjoyed by young and old, local and tourist.
Let's not stop now. Please continue to share the petition and encourage your friends to sign. Let's get it up to 1,000 signatures and beyond.
Thank you.
Jack Rankin, Conservative MP candidate for Windsor
