As local residents of Barmulloch, Glasgow, we are deeply concerned about the proposed opening of a 74-bed hostel in our neighbourhood. The potential influx of strangers into our community presents significant security concerns for my family and others. Our area is already lacking in local amenities to support its current residents; adding an additional burden with this hostel's clientele is not sustainable.

Barmulloch is currently undergoing development with new homes being built. This proposed hostel could deter potential homeowners from investing in our community and negatively impact current house values. We have worked hard to build up our neighbourhood and we fear this development could undo all that progress.

Moreover, one must consider the proximity of this proposed hostel to a local children's home. These children have sought refuge here and are vulnerable; exposing them to high numbers of strangers daily presents unnecessary risks.
