We are a group of concerned parents, educators, and community members deeply affected by the potential closure of Natha Howell Elementary School, a key part of the FWISD strategic facilities master plan. Our children's education and the livelihoods of dedicated school staff are at risk, shaking the fundamental core of our community. Natha Howell Elementary School serves as an essential learning center for numerous families and the proposed closure tears at the fabric of our close-knit community. 

The potential disruption in our children's learning process deeply concerns us. Various studies maintain that school closures profoundly impact a child's social and emotional growth apart from creating an inconsistency in their academic progress. With this move, our students face losing out not just on education but also a sense of community and mentorship. More so, the staff, who have passionately devoted their lives to nurturing our children’s growth each day, would be losing their jobs.  

For the sake of our children, the staff, and the community at large, we plead with the decision-makers to reconsider the potential closure of Natha Howell Elementary School. Let's save our school.
