A huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the Tipped Over the Edge landfill campaign petition so far. Your support, generosity, and commitment to spreading the word have been truly invaluable.
The petition is continuing to gain momentum, drawing attention from both local and national media. As we prepare for our upcoming protest, we remain determined to expose the unacceptable impact that landfill sites, waste transfer stations, and other profit-driven waste operations have on the very communities they disrupt.
It is outrageous that sites like Whinney Hill Landfill, operated by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd, are allowed to continue harming our environment and quality of life. Lancashire County Council, as the Waste Disposal Authority, is failing us by sending vast amounts of household waste to this site with little regard for the residents and businesses who suffer the consequences. Meanwhile, the Environment Agency, the very body meant to regulate and protect us, has repeatedly failed to hold operators accountable, allowing profits to come before public health and wellbeing.
This cannot and will not be ignored any longer. We will not be silenced.
Please keep supporting the campaign, tell your friends and colleagues, and keep sharing the petition. Every signature strengthens our voice.
I will not stop until real action is taken to address the daily misery this landfill site inflicts on our community.
Thank you for standing with us.
Kind regards,
Gary
