President Trump’s recent demand for a "major investigation" into celebrities who supported Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 campaign is not only unfounded; it is a waste of time, resources, and public trust.

There is no credible evidence that artists like Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, or Bono were illegally paid to endorse Harris. Public records and direct statements from those involved clearly show payments covered standard production costs, not personal compensation for political endorsements. To suggest otherwise is pure speculation and political retaliation.

Celebrity participation in political events is nothing new. Artists across the political spectrum have lent their voices to causes and candidates they believe in.

That is not corruption. It is free speech.

This baseless attempt to criminalize support for a political opponent is petty, dangerous, and distracts from real issues facing the country.
