Save the Date: October 22nd at 6:30pm for the first "CH Downtown Workshop" meeting. The Village continues to downplay the obvious traffic and safety risks of closing our safe and proven turn-escape-lane and traffic-triangle. The 2023 traffic study NEVER stated that there would be "no major impact on traffic," yet the Village just made this false statement AGAIN in the Chicago Tribune today. Why would the Village continue to make false statements about this 2023 study? The Village is doubling down on the plaza. PLEASE plan to ATTEND this downtown workshop to show the consultant how we feel about narrowing our ONLY ROAD over our ONLY crossing through our ONLY commerce block in Clarendon Hills. It is completely unsafe to close that lane for a cement playground. It will risk lives (kids climbed over barriers and ran right into the street during BOTH Little League events) and livelihoods of our small businesses (sales decreased up to 40% yr-over-yr when that lane was "test-closed" in May of 2025).

In today's Chicago Tribune article, the Village calls our vital road "the area known as the Sloan Triangle." No. That is our one and only, safe and proven road and traffic -triangle round-about though our town over our one and only railroad crossing. It cannot and will not be closed because it connects both North and South efficiently and safely to our small businesses.

Plan to Attend on October 22nd at 6:30PM (Location TBD)
