Having flexibility to gather for a special event is great. Doing it permanently is not safe and not feasible. Yesterday, our police were guarding our main crosswalk, but they STILL could not keep kids from running into the street and all over the plaza. 

Safe and efficient passage through town and ample storefront parking is much more crucial than permanently closing an arm of our main artery for these occasional gatherings.

The Village of Clarendon Hills must maintain flexibility for varying events and for changing tenants over time. A permanent plaza is not future-proof, not flexible and it is certainly NOT SAFE, even when our police were there the entire time.
