Did you know that CH already has a plaza downtown? Yes, we do. The need for yet another cement plaza is unwarranted. The Village President cropped out the existing 'Central Plaza' in his presentations to residents, developers and investors. Why?

There are simply no strong or valid reasons to pour cement over our safe and proven right-turn-slip-lane and traffic-triangle. The board is close to approving $$$ for this needless, reckless plaza proposal which has been proven, in the May, 2025 "Pilot Test Closure" to cause back-ups "almost to the railroad tracks" and a loss of foot traffic and sales to our beloved downtown merchants. A permanent plaza will wipe out our businesses, all while causing unsafe traffic conditions and congestion for decades to come.

Stop the Plaza by sharing this petition with your neighbors NOW. And PLEASE Plan to Attend the August 18 and Sept. 8 Village Board meetings (both 6:30 pm at CH Village Hall.) we need to pack Village Hall and let our leaders know that this plaza is simply unacceptable, dangerous and a complete waste of money.
