The Issue

Petition Title
Protect Massachusetts’ Legal, Tested Cannabis — Stop the 2026 Repeal

Petition Summary (shows up under the title)
Two ballot measures certified for 2026 would repeal adult-use cannabis legalization in Massachusetts. They would ban retail sales, ban home-grow, and even cap THC in medical cannabis. We must protect safe, regulated access. Sign this petition to say NO to repeal.

 Petition Body
We, the undersigned Massachusetts residents, strongly oppose the certified 2026 ballot measures (Questions 25-09 & 25-10) that would roll back legalization of adult-use cannabis.

If passed, these measures would:

Repeal Chapters 94G & 64N of the General Laws (ending licensing & excise tax).
Shut down all regulated adult-use retail sales.
Ban home cultivation for adults.
In one version, impose arbitrary THC caps on medical cannabis products.
Leave possession of up to 2 oz mostly decriminalized but with no legal way to purchase.
This is not a “sensible marijuana policy.” It’s a blueprint for reviving the illicit market and erasing years of progress.

Why repeal is the wrong direction
Public Safety: Licensed dispensaries test products, enforce age limits, and track supply. Banning them means more untested street cannabis in our communities.
Strong Public Support: In 2024, 65% of Massachusetts residents said legalization was the right decision.
Jobs & Revenue: Legal cannabis has generated $8 billion in sales, 20,000+ jobs, and millions in tax revenue that support local communities.
Equity & Justice: Legalization reduced arrests and gave opportunities to social equity entrepreneurs. Repeal would erase that progress and reinflate the illicit market.
Medical Access: Potency caps ignore patient needs and push vulnerable people back to unsafe sources.
Our Demand
We call on the Massachusetts Legislature, Governor, and voters to:

Reject any attempt to recriminalize cannabis sales and home-grow.
Preserve regulated, tested adult-use access.
Protect patients, workers, and small businesses.
Call to Action
Massachusetts has come too far to go backward. We need 100,000 signatures to show overwhelming public opposition and stop these repeal measures before they gain momentum.

Sign and share this petition today. Tell your friends, your dispensary, and your community: NO to repeal. YES to safe, legal cannabis.
