PIPEWALK – SUNDAY 27th SEPTEMBER
Please join Action Against CCS for a simultaneous event to raise awareness and show strength in numbers across all communities affected by the Peak Cluster pipeline proposal.
Walk as much or as little as you want. Approximate timings are shown below to allow people to come and support the group as they pass or to join the walk
Residents, farmers, businesses and community groups from across Derbyshire, Cheshire and Wirral will come together for the Great Pipeline Walk from Hope Valley to Green Hut, Moreton Wirral
This is a walk of solidarity, not a protest. Please leave banners at home.

HIGH PEAK - COMMUNITY WALK - HOPE TO DISLEY
Stage 1: 8am Start – Hope Car Park to Chapel-en-le-Frith Leisure Centre.
Stage 2: 10am Start – Buxton Train Station to Chapel – en – le Frith Leisure Centre.
Stage 3: 2pm Start – Chapel – en – le Frith Leisure Centre to Whaley Bridge Canal Basin
Stage 4: Whaley Bridge Canal Basin to Ram’s Head Disley

SECT 1 (gather from 9am) DANDY FARM ADLINGTON TO GAWSWORTH -leave Dandy Farm at 10am approx. via Bollington, Prestbury, Mottram St Andrew, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield and Checkpoint 1 Harrington Arms Gawsworth
SECT 2 - GAWSWORTH TO LOWER WITHINGTON
Via Eaton, marton, Siddington and arriving at Check Point 2 Lower Withington Village Hall – Arrive Check Point 2 11.30am approx.
SECT 3 - LOWER WITHINGTON TO BIDLEA DAIRY TWEMLOW
Via Jodrell Bank, Holmes Chapel, Cranage and Terminating at the Bidlea Dairy Twemlow – arrive Bidlea Dairy 12.20 to 1pm approx.
MIDDLEWICH TO TWEMLOW – RUN THE PIPELINE – APPROX 9 MILES

En route: Willaston, walking via parkgate High Road – local supporters in willaston are invited to join us here and walk with us to Devon Doorway.
WIRRAL – HESWALL TO MORETON
10.30am start (meet at 10am) Devon Doorway - Johnny Pye Car Park (please do not park here) onward to Heswall centre to Mere Lane
11.30am Mere Lane (please do not park here).oo
12.00 noon Irby Village – proceed to Irby Mill pub
12.30pm Irby Mill pub (please do not park here) on to Greasby Village
1pm Greasby Library (please do not park here) continue via st John church to Frankby Village
1.45pm The Newton Arms (please do not park here) onwards to Hilbre School, up Black Horse Hill to Hilbre View
2.30pm Hilbre View (please do not park here) proceed down grange Hill to West Kirby Concourse
3.30pm West Kirby Concourse carpark (please do not park here) Follow Meols Drive to Hoylake. Follow Market Street to Meols via Hoyle Road to Dove Point
4.30pm Dove Point Slipway (please do not park here) – last leg to Moreton
5.30pm Leasowe Lighthouse / Green Hut (please do not park here)
General Safety
• You are responsible for your own safety throughout the walk.
• Children and pets remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent, guardian or owner at all times.
• Please use designated footpaths wherever possible. People in high-vis will be positioned along the route to help direct walkers.
• Please ensure that you know who your section leaders are before setting off.
• We will walk at the pace of the slowest walker, although we do have some milestones and timings to meet along the route.
• Wear sensible footwear and suitable clothing. The weather can be unpredictable, so please check the forecast beforehand and dress accordingly.
• Water will be available at most passing/muster points.
• Where local pubs, cafés and other establishments have kindly allowed walkers to use their facilities, please support them where you can. They are part of the communities we are walking through and are also affected by the proposals.
• Please be respectful of local residents, businesses, other walkers and road users throughout.
Muster Points & Emergency Information
There are designated muster points along each section of the walk.
• In the event of an emergency, please contact the leader of your walking group in the first instance.
• In the event of illness or injury, please contact 07429 342206.
• If you become lost or separated from the group, please make your way to the nearest designated muster point and contact your section leader.
• If you are unable to continue the walk, please contact 07429 342206 so that assistance can be arranged.
• In the event of severe weather, section leaders will make the decision whether to suspend or call off their section of the walk.
• For any life-threatening emergency, always call the emergency services immediately on 999.
Most importantly, the purpose of the day is to bring our communities together across the Peak Cluster route and walk in solidarity. Please look out for one another and enjoy the day.
