Action Against CCS have now set up fighting fund and are asking for donations to help stop CCS projects particularly the Peak Cluster CO2 Pipeline.
The message from Action Against CCS:
"Many, many of you fabulous people have asked to donate. Please read following. And thank you as always for your continued support.
Action Against CCS are a community-led residents’ group working to ensure that local concerns relating to Carbon Capture & Storage, and in particular the Peak Cluster Project, are properly considered and represented.
We are seeking voluntary contributions to help cover the reasonable costs associated with this work. This may include communications and awareness activity, community engagement, and obtaining independent professional advice and representation(such as legal, planning or technical review) to better understand and respond to proposals.
All contributions will be used solely to support the activities of the group in connection with this purpose. We are not a registered charity or incorporated organisation, and contributions are made on a voluntary basis and are not eligible for Gift Aid.
We are committed to acting transparently and responsibly. Any funds remaining after meeting relevant costs will be used to support ongoing community-led activity aligned with these aims, or may be passed to other community or not-for-profit initiatives with similar objectives."
