Stop the Parade of Live Tigers at LSU Football Games

Stop the Parade of Live Tigers at LSU Football Games
The Issue
As a devout animal lover, I am deeply saddened by the decision made by the Louisiana State University (LSU) to parade a live tiger around their stadium in an attempt to intimidate their opponents. This tradition was pressured by the Governor of Louisiana, and the tiger is claimed to have been sourced from a questionable refuge, disregarding the use of LSU's mascot tiger, Mike VII, to uphold ethical reasons. This action disregards the welfare and respect of these magnificent animals, treating them as fearful props instead.
LSU's stadium, one of the largest in the nation, holds over 102,000 people. Exposure to such massive and hostile crowds can be deeply stressful for animals, with noise and commotion that go far beyond their natural environments. Furthermore, sourcing animals from questionable refuges raises concerns about the overall treatment of these magnificent creatures and their origins.
Animals should not be made to suffer for human entertainment. We, as conscientious members of the community, urge LSU and the Louisiana Governor to reconsider reviving this antiquated and harmful tradition.
Let us show respect for all living beings and discontinue using live tigers as a form of spectacle at these games. Sign this petition to end this practice at LSU's football events.
