STOP THE OUTDOOR GUN RANGE IN MILLVILLE/ANDERSON
STOP THE OUTDOOR GUN RANGE IN MILLVILLE/ANDERSON
The Issue
We the undersigned, express our opposition to the proposal to have an outdoor fire arm range and complex approved in the Dersch Rd / Millville Plains neighborhood.
We are deeply concerned that a fire arm range of this kind poses a significant threat to the safety and the overall quality of life in the community. The Millville Plains / Dersch Rd neighborhood is a peaceful and quiet place, and we want it to remain that way. We believe that the fire arm range and complex will bring unnecessary noise pollution, damage the environment, negatively impact wildlife, greatly reduce the standard of living for residents and impact the air and water quality in the area.
Moreover, the size and scope of this project will bring a huge influx of traffic coupled with overnight camping into this rural community, exposing it to a greater possibility of accidents, fires, and loss of property value. The current proposal allows for 500 person occupancy up to 12 hours per day.
Therefore, we demand that the Board of Supervisors reject the proposal for the fire arm range and complex. We believe that it is not in the best interest of the community to go ahead with the plan.
Please take a moment and email the Board of Supervisors and express your opposition before the 10/24 meeting. Make our voices heard and protect our rural life style.
