This Thursday, 27 November, MPs have a crucial chance to hear directly from the country’s leading climate experts at a National Emergency Briefing in Westminster. It’s non-party political, chaired by Professor Mike Berners-Lee, and organised by civil society because the Government has yet to provide Parliament with the full picture of the risks the UK faces.
Every MP has been invited — but not all will attend unless their constituents ask them to.
If you would like your MP to attend, we’ve prepared a short simple message that you can send them. The more constituents they hear from the more likely they are to attend.
A short, friendly message from you could make the difference between your MP being in the room or missing vital information at a time when clarity, honesty and evidence are badly needed.
Please take a moment now to write to your MP:
With the UK’s Climate Committee warning that the UK needs to take urgent action it is vital that as many MPs are at the briefing as possible.
With appreciation,
