In a busy week Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow took the time yesterday to meet our group and hear us make our case for why we need to create a politics that doesn’t rely on dehumanising and violent language.
We only got to do that because we were powered by your 67,000 voices.
THANK YOU, you made that meeting happen.
He listened and recognised that improvements are needed. He even signed the code himself. But he stopped short of saying he’d bring it in for all MPs and stressed the problem goes well beyond parliament.
Our challenge now is getting the people who step into his job at the end of the month to take it further. So this is start, but not the end. We’re determined to make change happen and couldn’t do it without your support.
Thank you all once again.
