Riders on the QM25 / QM24 / QM34 Express Buses are extremely concerned that NYC MTA is considering changes to the current  Bus routes through Queens and Manhattan. We do not want changes to the existing route. 

This petition has been created to allow QM25 / QM24 / QM34 riders and Drivers to voice their concerns over pending changes to the existing bus reroute. The current route has worked for years and provides easy access to all residents of OUR QUEENS neighborhoods. Moving the route to accommodate Williamsburg Brooklyn and Long Island City, Queens would create an unnecessary burden for current QM25 / QM 24 / QM 34 riders who rely heavily on those Express Routes to get to work and other appointments in Manhattan. We want the current Bus routes to remain intact.

OUR EXTREME CONCERNS WITH THIS REDESIGN:

1. Elimination of main Bus Stops one Example 80th Street (Middle Village) which has large numbers of customers entering/exiting the buses to get to local businesses and / or their homes. Connect to local buses on 80th Street to get to unsupported areas of Glendale.

2. Adding additional travel time to/from the city for the Queens residence upward of 30-60 minutes minimum by making the buses go through Metropolitan AVE / Through Williamsburg (BROOKLYN-NOT QUEENS) going over the Williamsburg Bridge through China TOWN (WHAT IS EXPRESS ABOUT THAT).

3. Stopping service at 8:00 am in the morning, many of us have flex hours and need those additional buses. (Take our kids to school / look in on parents/ Etc. before heading to the office)

4. Glendale / Ridgewood /Middle Village rely heavily on our Express Bus Service to get us To / From work and with this reroute this could affect our home pricing due to lack of quick access to Manhattan.
