Stop the McNab house Fiasco

Stop the McNab house Fiasco
The Issue
Land Sale at Markup
Former Mayor and CRA Chair Lamar Fisher filled two seats and both pockets, selling family-owned land to the CRA for a $565,000 profit. Ethics experts called it insider dealing. The deal blurred the line between public duty and private gain, undermining trust in how residents’ tax dollars are handled.
Rapid Demolition Without Proper Notice
On September 3, 2025, City Manager Greg Harrison emailed commissioners the same morning that demolition of McNab Park’s tennis and basketball courts was already scheduled. By the time officials knew, the work was underway. This fait accompli excluded residents and blindsided even elected leaders, showing how little transparency exists.
CRA Taxpayer-Funded PR Blitz
Under CRA Director Nguyen Tran, the agency’s FY2026 budget earmarks $250,000 for “Dissemination of Information.” Residents see this as a PR blitz to push the McNab project, not genuine public consultation. Taxpayer money is being used to spin the narrative rather than confront serious community concerns.
Our Call for Action
This petition demands oversight from Tallahassee. We urge the Florida Office of Inspector General, the Commission on Ethics, the Auditor General, and the Attorney General to investigate the McNab House project. Only state intervention can expose questionable land deals, rushed demolitions, and taxpayer-funded propaganda, restoring accountability to Pompano Beach.
