One day old male baby chicks are slaughtered because they are “worthless” to the egg and meat industry. I raise chickens on our tiny farm in Aubrey and it appalls me that we allow this cruel, violent inhumane treatment - in fact, these little chicks are dumped into a grinder alive.  This is horrible stewardship.
