Afrikan Heritage Communities have been excluded from participating meaningfully in what British Politicians tout as ‘democracy’. A revealing example of this is the continued attempts to ignore and silence the ‘Stop the Maangamizi: We Charge Genocide/Ecocide’ Campaign (SMWeCGEC) and the voices we are amplifying in demand of reparatory justice for Afrikan people within and outside the UK.
This is worth noting, more so now when UK Prime Minister, Theresa May has recently expressed condemnation about attempts “to silence British democracy”.
We draw your attention to the recent correspondence of the SMWeCGEC with the office of the UK Prime Minister. Such correspondence relates to the Prime Minister's and the British Government's failure to appropriately respond to the earnest call for dialogue by way of establishing a UK All-Party Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry for Truth & Reparatory Justice (APPCITARJ) in the 'symbol of British democracy'.
The SMWeCGEC continues to organise in implementation of the aims and objectives of the campaign and advocate for establishment of the APPCITARJ, and other actions necessary, to advance the process of dialogue from the ground-upwards, with the British State and society on reparatory justice.
Until next time
