Housing Justice 4 ParkdaleToronto, Canada
Aug 24, 2025

Hello friends,

Thank you for your ongoing support regarding our campaign against KingSett’s proposed development in Parkdale. While the Ontario Land Tribunal has unfortunately approved their project, our struggle for housing justice is far from over!

Parkdale Housing Justice Network (PHJN) continues to organize—because KingSett is just one example of the corporate landlords and developers fueling gentrification and displacement in our community. The fight for deeply affordable housing in Parkdale is bigger than one project, and it’s a fight we need you in.

Please join us at our next monthly meeting:

❀ This Wednesday, August 27th, 7–9pm
❀ Capital Espresso, Queen & Dunn

Together, we’re building tenant and neighbour power to resist gentrification, defend affordable housing, and create a Parkdale where we can all stay and thrive.

Some access info: The meeting is on the ground floor of Capital Espresso, a coffee shop on Queen West. The coffee shop will not be open (i.e. as a coffee shop) during our meeting time. A short slope (less than one metre) leads up to the door. Some noise from Queen Street is audible from the space. Chairs and tables are moveable into different configurations. The bathroom is in the basement of the building which can only be accessed by a flight of narrow stairs.

If you have any questions or need accessibility, please reach out.

In solidarity,
Parkdale Housing Justice Network (PHJN)
