Stop the light industrial development at the corner of Nissan Dr and Jefferson Pike
The Issue
28 acres of land beside the Bent Tree subdivision is being proposed for a new “light industrial park” developed by KBC Advisors. This includes changing the current zoning of the land from residential to commercial.
This would put loud industrial equipment, semi-trucks, and construction right on top of our quiet neighborhood. The potential for blasting could lead to damage of surrounding homes. It will also lead to more traffic on the already congested roads of Nissan Dr and Jefferson Pike.
Please help us prevent further congestion of the intersection and preserve the quiet sanctity of our neighborhood by signing our petition. Help us show the town council that we, the citizens of Smyrna and Bent Tree subdivision do not support this unsightly, unnecessary development.
In addition to signing the petition, you can also speak out against the development at the next planning commission meeting on Thursday, March 5th at 5pm. The meeting will be held at Smyrna Town Hall, 315 S Lowry Street. The more voices the better!
