Lleolir Y Foryd Bach i Dde Orllewin Y Fenai tua 2 filltir o Gaernarfon Gwynedd.

Yn 1994 cafodd y safle statws o DdiddordebGwyddonol Arbennig, oherwydd pwysigrwydd unigrywyr amgylchedd i fywyd gwyllt niferus a chyfaethog, mae’r safle yn warchodfa natur ac yn hafan i filoedd o adar. Cynefin gwych i greaduriaid o bob math.

Mae’n drychineb fod hawl i saethu yn bodoli mewn llemor ddelfrydol, mae hyn yn cael effaith negyddol arfywyd gwyllt. Yn ystod cyfnodau saethu, mae’rergydion yn ddychrynllyd, mae’r adar yn ffoi, a gadaelY Foryd yn gwbwl dawel a di-fywyd am gyfnod,- maetystio y lladd di angen yma yn dorcalonnus i ni sy’nceisio gwarchod y lle.

Rydym fel rhai o drigolion yr ar ardal am ddileu yr hawli saethu ar Y Foryd Bach, er mwyn diogelu y saflebendigedig yma, gan nad oes rheswm saethu mewngwarchodfa natur gyda statws arbennig.

Foryd Bach is situated Southeast of Menai Straits – approx 2 miles from Caernarfon.

In 1994 this area was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its unique landscape and abundant wildlife – primarily its birdlife. It is also a Local Nature Reserve and home to many other important species of plants and animals.

We are witness to recent shooting of a great number of birds, this we consider to be unnecessary and extremely distressing to several residents, who cherish the site asdo a great many other people from surrounding areas.

It is indeed sad that shooting is still allowed in an area so rich in terms of its flora and fauna. Shooting has negative impact and causes severe disturbance and displacement of its bird population and places additional stresses on all species which reside in ForydBach. This activity leaves the area with little bird population for long period of time and severely compromises their ability to thrive, it is a contradiction of its status SSSI and Local Nature Reserve.

Numerous residents would favour the cessation of shooting in the Foryd Bach, in order to safeguard this outstanding area for wildlife and for our future generations to enjoy without disturbance.
