Hi folks,
Quick update for you.
I'm currently awaiting the results of a freedom of information request regarding Natural England's licences to shoot red listed Herring Gulls.
I've outlined it all on my blog as usual, click HERE
Comments welcome.
With Natural England's licencing data being so complex and often confusing, I've decided that highlighting examples of individual licences (previously with the Coots and now the Herring Gulls) is the best way to illustrate just how dubious the agency's decisions appear to be.
We, the public, require more involvement in the licencing process.
As I've mentioned in my blog post, the consensus of opinion is that the public would overwhelmingly resist lethal control of our birds and would rather work with authorities to find alternative solutions in situations where birds are causing a perceived or actual problem.
Anyway, take a look and let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.
And meanwhile, of course, please keep sharing the petition!
Thanks for all your amazing support,
Best,
Jase
