75,000 Signatures, national media coverage - we ARE making a noise!
Hi folks,
Just wanted to let you all know that this morning we passed 75,000 signatures!
An amazing figure, thank you everyone.
We've been lucky that so many people have been busy sharing and promoting the petition, it makes a huge difference. I've also been working towards getting us some valuable press coverage, you may have seen the petition mentioned in The Times and a really good article in The Independent recently; they both provided great publicity which helped boost the cause. I'm hopeful of more media coverage in the new year.
As I've already mentioned, when we reach the magic 100,000 mark, I will request a meeting with someone in government. Natural England's less-than-transparent procedures need overhauling - they cannot be trusted to issue licences to kill our birds, they've proved that by granting permission to kill skylarks, wrens and robins, to name a few.
So, while we head towards that 100,000 figure, I'd like to ask you to keep sharing the petition.
We will make a difference.
