As we approach 100,000.... an update
Hi folks,
It's been a while since I posted an update so I thought I'd just check in with everyone and keep you in the loop.
We are currently at around 93,000 signatures! It's amazing - but it would be even more amazing if we get to 100,000 - and we will.
Many of you have been busy sharing the petition (thank you!!!) and there is still some media attention around the issue of the bird licences after the flurry of national newspaper reports at the end of last year - although frustratingly the latest articles have failed to mention the petition, so I've been posting a link to it where I can.
Anyway, I have today written to Michael Gove and explained that in view of the huge public concern over this matter, I feel it is my obligation to discuss it with him directly, and so I've requested a meeting with him.
I'll let you know if/when I have a response...
So for now, thank you all again - please keep sharing the petition, we can make a difference.
