As a Boy Scout of America, I am deeply concerned about the ongoing legal hunting of wolves in certain parts of our country. These majestic creatures are often misunderstood and vilified as dangerous predators. However, it's crucial to understand that wolves usually only attack livestock when they are desperate for survival.

Contrary to popular belief, wolf attacks on humans are extremely rare and often occur when humans encroach upon their territory. The last recorded fatal wolf attack in the United States dates back to 1893! This fact alone should prompt us to reconsider our perception and treatment of these creatures.

The hunting not only disrupts the balance within our ecosystems but also threatens their survival. It's time we shift from fear-based actions towards informed decisions that respect all forms of life.
