The Kids Online Safety Act, or KOSA, is a bill that claims to serve the purpose of protecting children online from harmful content. However, many critics are worried that this act will be used to censor LGBTQ+ voices and resources online. In fact, the head republican sponsor for KOSA, Marsha Blackburn, has blatantly stated that she wishes to use the bill to protect minors "from the transgender." 

While KOSA didn't pass the House of Representatives last year, proponents have vowed to reintroduce it at some point from 2025-2026. 

Millions of queer children across the country will suffer if this bill is passed-- especially those in unsupportive households or environments, whose only outlet for queer socialization and research is the internet. 

Sign this petition, spread it around, and email your senators to tell them NOT to support this bill.
