My daughter is a cancer survivor. In our neighborhood, she is not alone; several families have bravely battled cancer, and we stand together in the hope of keeping our community safe and healthy. As a parent, I am deeply concerned about the potential dangers of radiation exposure from a proposed cell tower installation in our neighborhood. The health and safety of our children should be our utmost priority, and that's why we must act. 

Not to mention, the detrimental effects an unsightly cell tower will have on our property values in the area. We have dealt with exponential growth lately, but this is a step too far. On average, homes with visible cell towers can sell for 5-20% less.
We must stand firm in opposition of allowing our beautiful Lake Country landscape from becoming another mini mall haven and further degrading our property values. 

We are appealing to our local government to reconsider the proposed location for this cell tower and explore alternative sites that will not endanger the health of the residents. We encourage the community and decision-makers to work together to find solutions that allow technological advancement without compromising our safety.

Research conducted by reputable sources, including the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization (WHO), has classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields – similar to those emitted by cell towers – as possibly carcinogenic to humans. While the science continues to develop and debate, isn't it wiser to err on the side of caution, especially where our children are involved?

Cell towers emit non-ionizing radiation, which some studies suggest could pose health risks. In residential areas, especially in neighborhoods with many cancer survivors, this is a risk we simply cannot afford to take. We're not against technology or progress, but it's crucial to find safer locations for such installations, away from where people live, especially families with children.
