As a committed dog lover, I am totally against the cruel and appalling practices witnessed at the Yulin Dog and Cat Meat Festival in China. This festival is not only a gross violation of animal rights but also a deeply disturbing event.

Each year, thousands of dogs and cats are subjected to inhumane conditions before being slaughtered in the most horrific ways imaginable. They are often stolen pets, snatched away from the comfort of loving homes, only to face a terrifying end. This unnecessary cruelty must come to an end.

Many within China are against this festival, advocating for its abolition and emphasizing compassion toward animals. It is essential to distinguish traditions from actions that are ethically indefensible.
